Who we are

The Chippenham Chamber supports and connects start-ups, entrepreneurs, SMEs, established national businesses and corporations, while the Town Team works in the area of town centre place making with guidance from the Institute of Place Management. Both areas of work are designed to encourage inward investment, and champion Chippenham as a thriving place in which to do business.

Heart of Wiltshire

Chippenham is one of Wiltshire’s most vibrant and fast-growing towns with a rich history stretching back to Saxon times and a proud heritage as a market town with exemplary connectivity and entrepreneurship.

A thriving business and community hub

Home to major employers the town is in a growth period with a state of art Siemens HQ under construction and growing reputation as a Tech Hub. Alongside this there is also a wealth of independent businesses which enhances Chippenham’s  blend of global corporations with innovative local enterprise.

The town centre boasts independent cafés, craft pubs and restaurants, two shopping centres and a wide range of quirky shops, all set alongside the river Avon and central open spaces. Surrounding business areas such as Greenaway and Methuen Parks, Bumpers Farm,  Hathaway Retail Park, and Indurent and St Modwen Parks adjacent to the M4, provide space for growth and investment, while green spaces like John Coles Park, Monkton Park, and riverside trails make Chippenham an attractive place to live, work and unwind.

What We Do

The Chippenham Chamber and Town Team acts as the voice and central point of contact for local and regional businesses in the regeneration of Chippenham town centre ensuring a neighbourhood voice on the Chippenham Partnership Board, chaired by local MP Sarah Gibson. Through this, members can play an active role in shaping Chippenham’s long-term vision and have a direct say in its future.

We connect members, organise networking events, share advice and guidance, share news of funding, training and opportunities and encourage inward investment to strengthen our town.

We also represent the interests of Chippenham businesses to Chippenham Town Council, Wiltshire Council, the Chippenham Partnership Board and the media championing the achievements of our local business community.
